Do What's Right by acting safely, ethically, and sustainablyA Day in the Life:This position is responsible for conducting commercial and trading activities associated with grain origination and marketing for winter canola. This role will actively participate in the development of a winter canola grower base in the U.S. Midsouth region (incl. Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas, Alabama).What You'll Be Doing:
Lead definition of grower prospects database and implement grower lead pipeline management process. Actively pursue and participate in grower meetings.
Successfully engage and work with Seed Co. partners in the development of grower base and value proposition communications plan.
Routinely monitor/understand interior netback grower pricing based on the various destination market alternatives and logistics costs.
Actively participate in winter canola grain contracting and pricing including communication with hedge desk to appropriately manage flat price risk.
Proactively service grower customers in areas of market information, e-business, pricing, delivery, grading, and accounting with an emphasis on building strong relationships.
Build relationships with new and existing grower customers to expand origination network while assisting with coordinating/managing logistics around product flows.
Facilitate and assist in the communication and exchange of business information and market conditions between local and corporate management in a timely and accurate manner.
Understand standard and program-specific grain contract terms and ensure compliance with such terms and conditions.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of product flows and freight spreads in market region to execute on highest margin decisions.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture Economics, or a related field
Seven (7) years of experience in commodity merchandising; canola experience a plus
In-depth knowledge of cash commodity trading and futures
Strong sales knowledge and negotiations skills; demonstrated ability to engage with growers
Ability to lead teams to execute on new initiatives
Good verbal and written communications skills
Excellent customer service skills
Dynamic capability to learn, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced changing environment
Knowledge/understanding of accounting principles, market values, pricing, and margin factors
Strong organizational and execution skills
Proficient PC skills including Excel and Word
Ability and willingness to travel within the U.S. Midsouth region to perform Core FunctionsBenefits:
