Family Therapist
Are you a mental health professional who feels a deep sense of fulfillment in helping others overcome challenges and achieve stability? Do you thrive in situations that require understanding, careful listening, and a steady commitment to long-term support? We invite you to bring your dedication and compassionate approach to our team as a Therapist in our Wraparound Services Program, where your work will directly contribute to the well-being of youth and families in need.
What You’ll Be Doing: As a Therapist with our Wraparound Services Program, you will provide essential support to youth and families navigating significant challenges, referred through Child Welfare, Juvenile Probation, or County Behavioral Health departments. This role calls for a thoughtful, steady approach, where you will deliver culturally responsive, strengths-based therapy and lead a collaborative planning process to create a strong, lasting support network for youth who are at risk of out-of-home placement or transitioning from a higher level of care. You will work closely with families, schools, extended family members, mentors, and other community partners, ensuring that each family feels heard, supported, and empowered to achieve lasting stability and success.
ABOUT PROGRAM
Seneca offers "Wraparound" services to children and youth susceptible of placement, and to their families. The Wraparound programs are strengths-based, family-driven, flexible, and creative, with the goal of helping the family develop the skills and supports to prevent or reduce the possibility of out-of-home placement of their child. A family-based team addresses the needs of the entire family, not just the child of focus. This family-based team consists of family members, Seneca's Therapists, Support Counselors, Family Partners, Facilitators and other community members who have an important role in the family.
ABOUT SENECA
Seneca Family of Agencies has been nominated among the Bay Area’s Top Workplaces for several consecutive years. We’re committed to providing traditionally marginalized communities with a network of excellent mental health, community-based, and educational services. We are committed to building a diverse staff and strongly encourage people of color to apply. Our programs are deeply engaged in conversations and training on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to bring equity and justice to the youth and families we serve.
Responsibilities
Lead with Compassion: Provide culturally responsive services to youth and caregivers, guiding them toward treatment goals with empathy and support
Empower Families: Offer psycho-education and caregiver coaching to strengthen families' abilities to care for and support one another

Facilitate Collaborative Care: Lead Child and Family Team Meetings (CFTMs), ensuring family-driven treatment plans and compliance with the Wraparound Model
Foster Partnerships: Cultivate strong relationships with community members, county partners, and other providers to align efforts for the family’s success
Offer Clinical Support: Provide case planning guidance and consult with the team on clinical and casework issues, ensuring the best outcomes for families
Ensure Timely Documentation: Accurately document mental health notes, treatment plans, safety plans, and other reports in a timely manner.
