We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.SummaryThis role reports to the Safety Manager; and this role develops, coordinates, implements, and manages a comprehensive employee health service program and team based on government guidelines and company total quality management principles. This role is accountable to work closely with all employees to promote occupational health and safety compliance. Coordinates training, communications, involvement, and accountability - supporting accident prevention and compliance programs. This position is accountable for ensuring compliance with all health and safety, food safety and HACCP regulations and procedures.Key Responsibilities Conduct injured worker evaluation and Urgent Care type services. Develops, interprets, and administers employee health services, including plant medical, disease prevention, and safety programs, policies, and procedures. Participates in the occupational health service program through various activities. Conduct injured worker case management and assist in coordinating early return to work program. Assist in preparing necessary workers compensation claims and follow up with employees, physicians, and case manager. Identifies health problems and potential hazards of the work site, teach safety awareness. Schedules, plans and implements an effective wellness and health education program for employees. Refers employees to health/medical related resources in the community. Administer various clinics/trainings, coordinate on site physician visits, refer employees to off-site medical facilities, order supplies, file records. Support emergency and disaster preparedness programs and planning.Typical Education Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Nurse Practitioner
RN(NP)
designation with bachelor's degree. Occupational Health Nursing diploma or willingness to achieve this designation. Spirometry testing, respiratory surveillance and occupational hearing conservationist preferred.Relevant Experience3+ years related experience and/or training
Required CertificationsCertified Occupational Nurse (COHN) or Certified Occupational Nurse Specialist (COHNS) preferred.Certification in CPR and AED preferred. Spirometry testing, respiratory surveillance and occupational hearing conservationist preferred.Other InformationScheduled start time will be required prior to 8:00 AM for night shift support.
