Casework Assembler

Responsible for building production casework. Proven ability to attach hardware and assembles to form completed units.
Work Hours:
Normal shift hours are from 6:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Some Saturdays as needed. These hours are subject to change based on production needs. Ability to work overtime is required.
Required education and experience:
- High School Degree or GED
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and cut lists
- Ability to assemble cabinets based on established standards and drawings
- Basic hand tool knowledge and experience to include but not limited to tape measure, combination square, table saw, portable power miter saw, sliding table saw, radial arm saw, saber saw, portable router, screw pocket machine, pneumatic nailers and staple guns
- Basic communication skills
- Team player
- Math skills such as adding, subtracting, division, fractions, and decimals
- High attention to detail
- Clean and neat appearance
- Open line of communication
- Installs hardware such as hinges, handles, catches, and drawer pulls
- Sand and scrape surface and joints to prepare articles for laminating
- Confirms checklist is complete
- Bore holes for insertion of screws or dowels, by hand or using boring machine
- May be required to assist in other areas of the plant
- Ability to stack completed work in specified staging area for delivery
- Ability to contribute their best to producing an exceptional product
- Perform job in cost-effective manner
- Always perform job safely including wearing safety glasses and ask for help with lifting
- Be on time and present for work daily
- Take responsibility for getting the work done
- Positive attitude toward personal, department, and company goals
- Respect for fellow team members and customers
- Willing to share in any overtime
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to process verbal information and input this information into computer system.
- Ability to follow complex instructions.
- Ability to master basic skills.
- Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions.
- Ability to enter and retrieve data from computer.
- Ability to operate modern office business machinery.
- Ability to converse in a calm and friendly manner.
- This job operates in an open air facility.
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
