PURPOSE:Responsible for the diagnostics, prompt repair and ongoing maintenance of more complex material handling equipment issues.Equipment Maintenance Mechanic Sr. will be required to act as a leader on the team, providing guidance, training, andmentorship to fellow team membersJOB REQUIREMENTS:Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent related experienceExperience:
2+ years of on-the-job experience with electronics and mechanical equipment
Machining and fabrication experienceKnowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics, and the abilityto read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Oral and written communication skills to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals. It is also required for writing routine reports and correspondence
Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limitedstandardization exists
Clearly communicate with other employees and build relationships with employees, supervisors/managers, customers,as well as outside contractors
Ability to work well independentlyPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation
Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.
Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places toperform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment
