Mid-level Systems Engineer

Overview: SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering and analysis support for our Navy customer. The Mid-level Systems Engineer will work with a team of SimVentions and government personnel and duties will include supporting the development of models and simulation (M&S), data analysis of model outputs and results, and development of technical reporting of electro-optical and infrared sensor data, optics data, and image processing. Travel: 10% Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance. Requirements: 5 years of related experienceExperience with modeling & simulationExperience with System/software test planning, execution, and reportingData AnalysisExperience organizing results in to Excel spreadsheets, and generating tables and plots for data productsTechnical Report writing in Word and Power PointAbility to effectively communicate status of tasking in meetings and in writing Responsibilities: Modeling & SimulationData AnalysisTechnical Report DevelopmentTesting in Labs on Base at Dahlgren & Test Site(s)Provide Weekly Reports Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience with Night Vision Integrated Performance Model (NV-IPM) toolExperience with optics, imaging, image processing, and electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensor and imagersExperience with Python to aid in script analysis and troubleshootingExperience with MATLABExperience with systems engineering disciplines related to Navy systems Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is required Compensation: Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements. The projected annual compensation range for this position is USD $90,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 Yr. and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
