Job Overview:
A reputable cardiology group in Everett, WA, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a specialization in cardiology for a locum tenens position. This is a 6-month assignment with an immediate start, offering an exciting opportunity to work in both clinic and call settings. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned provider comfortable with the full spectrum of cardiology care, able to hit the ground running, and provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cardiology-focused care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular diseases and conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with the cardiology team to deliver exceptional patient care in both clinic and call settings.
  • Manage patient consultations, conduct thorough examinations, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Review patient records, conduct follow-ups, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform non-invasive cardiology procedures and assist in decision-making for treatment plans.
  • Split time between clinic duties and being on call, according to the assigned schedule:
    • Clinic: 2-3 days per week, seeing patients in an outpatient setting.
    • Call: 2-3 days per week, responding to urgent cardiology cases and patient needs.
  • Work closely with the supervising cardiologists and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure timely documentation.

Schedule:

  • The schedule will include a combination of clinic and call responsibilities:
    • 2-3 days per week in clinic.
    • 2-3 days per week on call.
    • Exact clinic hours and call shifts to be provided upon application.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with active licensure in Washington State.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in cardiology is required.
  • Prior experience in both outpatient clinic and call settings is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
