Our organization is currently seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for physical and rehabilitation medicine and be able to work with patients of all ages. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing physical therapy treatments, assisting with patient evaluations, and helping to develop treatment plans. Our Physical Therapist's main goal is to motivate our federal workers and get our patients back to work. Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and relevant diagnostic tests.
  • Identify impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities.
  • Develop a personalized treatment plan based on the assessment findings.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment programs that aim to improve mobility, strength, flexibility, and overall physical function.
  • Set measurable goals in collaboration with the patient to track progress.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options.
  • Provide hands-on manual therapy techniques, such as joint mobilization, soft tissue manipulation, and stretching exercises.
  • Prescribe therapeutic exercises and functional training to improve strength, endurance, balance, and coordination.
  • Develop strategies for pain relief and management, including manual techniques, modalities, and patient education.
  • Educate patients on proper body mechanics and ergonomics to prevent future injuries.
  • Offer advice on lifestyle modifications and exercise programs for long-term health and wellness.
  • Discuss strategies for injury prevention and fall prevention in older adults.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in healthcare documentation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, massage therapists, and physical therapy assistants to provide comprehensive care.
  • Communicate with patients and their families to establish rapport and address concerns.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in physical therapy through ongoing professional development.
  • Engage in research to contribute to the field's knowledge and improve patient care.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Uphold professionalism and a commitment to the well-being of patients.

We are seeking candidates to fill part time and PRN positions. The salary range for this position is $50 to $70 per hour depending on level of experience.
