QualificationsYou meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you have ...A Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent years of related professional work experience.7 or more years of hands-on experience with virtualization technologies in an either an enterprise or small network setting.3 or more years in a technical leadership role, focusing on architecting and administering environments using VMware vSphere and ESXi.Expertise utilizing automation and orchestration tools for building, configuring, provisioning and running virtual machines.Experience with VMware Horizon or VDI capabilities in an operational setting.A firm understanding of networking, with knowledge of software defined networking using NSX, and storage technologies such as SAN, ISCSI, NFS and NAS.Experience leading and motivating a team to deliver results and maintain the highest standards of quality.Familiarity with security and regulatory compliance requirements as pertains to virtualization.Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and present technical information clearly to a diverse audience.Ability to independently resolve exciting problems by applying job knowledge, conducting research, and using external resources.Solid understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, and proficiency with Windows and Linux system administration.Hold Top Secret level security clearance. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development.
