You will be Responsible for facilities support of 450,000 sq ft manufacturing floorspace and assists in the facility support of the 700,000 sq ft distribution center and 80 acres of land.You will also be responsible for manufacturing equipment maintenance of 1,000 machining & assembly assets through driving programs of continuous improvement in equipment uptime and preventive/predictive maintenance methodology.· Drives continuous improvement principles throughout the maintenance and manufacturing organization.· Day to day maintenance and facilities support of entire building & grounds. Assigns priorities as required to meet business goals.· Interfaces and works closely with outside utility providers and contractors to provide necessary and efficient services required for the manufacturing facility.· Interacts with outside equipment suppliers to troubleshoot equipment issues and obtain required spare parts and services.· Develops Capital Appropriation Requests as necessary to support the maintenance function.· Maintains databases for equipment history, uptime, and key performance indicators.· Supports OSHA requirements as pertains to machine operation & guarding, chemical use & storage, and structural codes.The Person:· Minimum B.S. Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, with 3-5 years of being a people manager and 5-7 years of overall experience· Cost estimating experience – design, material, & labor.· Complex equipment purchase experience.· Knowledge and participation with Lean Manufacturing methods and principles (i.e. kaizen, 5S, etc.)· Knowledge and experience with preventive/predictive maintenance programs & philosophies.
