The Medical Imaging/Mammography Technologist utilizes their specific modality to create diagnostic images and provide their patients with a safe positive experience. The technologist will exercise sound judgement regarding image quality and determine when repeats are necessary. In radiation producing modalities technologists' practice and enforce the radiation safety measures in New York State Department of health code part 16.
