Position type: Contract (W2)
Duration: Long Term
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid 3 days Onsite)

As a QA Automation - API, you will:

Position Summary:
Works with Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed. Conducts end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, functional requirements are being met throughout the SDLC. Designs and Executes test scripts based upon test strategy/plans in an effort to identify defects prior to production. Tests may be manual, automated or both. May also include Production Certification which requires manual/automated scripts be executed to certify production health and/or identify post-production defects. Works as a member of the project team to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed. Assists with data management.

Required Skills:
Experience with Functional and Web Service Testing
7+ Years General Testing
3+ Years Web Service/API Testing Experience.
Experience in multiple testing types (Functional, Web Service/API, Regression, Performance)
Proficient in all phases of SDLC as it relates to Testing, Web Service/API Testing
Experience in testing using JUnit/ Test NG/ SOAP UI frameworks required to develop and execute automated test solutions
Experience in Java programming language with good understanding of webservices
Expertise in translating business requirements into automated test suites
Ability to work independently and with others to gather requirements and document the Web Service/API Testing Test Plan
Experience reviewing Use Cases and application technology to assess the feasibility of using defined tools to simulate API/ Webservice integrations
Capable of Developing, testing, and debugging scripts in multiple protocols (HTTP, SOAP, REST)
Proficient in Executing, analyzing, and reporting the results and understand testing impacts
Collaborating with technical teams for troubleshooting issues and supporting root cause analysis
Strong attention to detail to ensure consistent quality in all phases of Testing
Understanding overview of Web Application and its architecture - Multitier architecture
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent in both written and oral communication
Degree in IT or equivalent

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $45/hr - $50/hr on W2.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
