All this, we do provide an opportunity for a better future for all of our TEAM MEMBERS.Our Values:Determination / Simplicity/ Availability / Humility / Sincerity / Discipline / Ownership Responsibilities: Supervise, evaluate and direct personnel on the shift in performing operations according to sound operating principles and company policies and proceduresStimulate maximum safety, efficiency, and productivity of production workers; ensure proper training of employeesAnticipate and determine causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate actions to meet production schedulesMonitor and confirm that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient productionArrange to have appropriate production records prepared and maintained (i.e., payroll, yields)Work closely with other production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in each department and in the plant facilityAttend meetings as scheduled or calledAdhere to standard safety practices and procedures, HACCP, GMP's and sustaining 5S Lean Manufacturing requirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.High school diploma or GED required; college or technical degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of related experience and educationPrevious production supervisory/leadership experience requiredMinimum 3-5 years in a food manufacturing plant or similar; meat experience preferredOutstanding communication skills in order to lead, engage and motivate individuals and/or teams.A thorough understanding of lean manufacturing principles and leadership applications within a manufacturing environment.Strong proficiency with computer software and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and multiple applications required.Detail-oriented and strong analytical skillsHighly organizedSpanish/English bilingual desired but not requiredMust be able to work overtime and weekendsPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee should possess to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
