Opportunity

Serve as the finance partner within Kitchen & Bath North Americas (KBNA) Direct To Consumer (DTC), a key strategic channel. This position will be required to (1) be a Core Business Partner within the KBNA DTC team 2) drive strong cohesive partnership with cross-functional teams, (3) provide updates on key metrics related to the business to ensure key strategic initiatives are meeting financial commitments, (4) analyze and communicate business performance (5) lead the monthly forecasting and annual financial plan processes related to KBNA DTC, Customer Care Center, Inside Sales Center, Digital Experience, and support DTC strategies.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible for financial support and analysis for a KBNA DTC business segment. Specifically, the monthly results and annual forecast of Sales and Gross Margin. This role will be expected to own the full P&L results for this Business Channel.
  • Play a key role in forecasts and financial plans for both business segments. This requires the ability to reach a consensus with the business leadership team throughout the entire process from Demand Plan to Indirect Operating
  • Expense and incorporate forward looking KPI’s into the forecast.
  • Responsible for spending analysis, budgeting, and forecasting of Kohler.com, Customer Care Center, Inside Sales Center, and Digital Experience business segments. These include Selling, Marketing, Systems, and BES.
  • Continue to enhance and leverage business tools and/or business dashboards that allow for daily communication of business KPI’s.
  • Create the necessary business analysis & ROIs to support business expansion proposals, as this segment is one of the KBNA Strategic growth segments.
  • Responsible for the review and timely publication of documents for inclusion in the monthly Financial Statements, and Annual Financial Plan book. This may include reports detailing the specifics within operating expenses and markets.
  • Maintain integrity on the balance sheet by reconciling accrual balances generated during the monthly close.
  • Responsibilities include providing supporting documentation for the balance(s) and fielding inquiries from internal and external auditors.
  • Educate and guide the respective functional areas as it relates to financial matters. In essence, serve as the financial expert for the vice presidents/directors of these organizations. Specifically, it may include regular updates of business results, establishing and/or enhancing our reporting for these businesses, analysis to drive profitable growth, and establishing a process for forecasting and financial planning,
  • Perform other responsibilities, projects, and special studies as assigned by the Sr Manager Finance- Consumer Channel and assist other members of the department as required.

Skills/Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting. 2+ years of experience recommended.
  • A strong working knowledge of Excel is required, and ability to use Excel Analysis
  • SAP knowledge and experience is desired.
  • The ability to mentor less experienced associates is required.
  • The ability to effectively comprehend, analyze, and make recommendations based on complex data is required.
  • Effective communication skills, both within and outside of the Accounting/Finance organization. This includes presentation skills.

The salary range for this position is $69,800 - $87,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.  Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
