Great America is looking for Singers, Dancer, Actors, and Characters for a variety of styles in our exciting Fall programming. AUDITION IS REQUIRED. 

As a performer at California's Great America, you will be an integral part of creating memorable and magical experiences for guests. You will bring various characters and entertainment acts to life through performance and interaction. Your role will involve engaging with guests of all ages, maintaining high energy and enthusiasm, and ensuring a positive and immersive experience.

  • Oktoberfest Host - Known internally as Performer 2 ($24/HR)
  • Singer/Dancer - Known internally as Performer 2 ($24/HR)
  • Hosts - Roles vary ($23-$24/HR)
  • Tricks n Treats Atmosphere Characters  - Known internally as Performer 1 ($23/HR)
  • Planet Snoopy Characters and Performers - Known internally as Show Character ($21/HR)
  • Puppeteer - Known internally as Performer 1 ($23/HR)
  • Attendants - Known interally as Ushers ($18.50/HR)

Responsibilities: 

  • Attends rehearsals and learns choreography/character work for all shows and performances assigned.
  • Dancers must have the ability to maintain choreography and show integrity throughout the event as set by the Choreographer, Director and Entertainment Management.
  • All performers must have the ability to demonstrate and maintain stage presence as appropriate for a specific stylized show or character.
  • Posing for photos and doing meet and greets with guests.
  •  Maintaining assigned costume look and reporting repair needs to the proper personnel. 
  •  Additional media appearances may be required on top of regular schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Using your talents to enrich California’s Great America’s atmosphere for guests
  • Working as a member of a team to achieve overall atmosphere and goals set by Entertainment leadership and show directors
  • Consistently performing your role as scripted and/or conceived
  • Remaining in character while "on‑stage” and in view of guests and interacting with guests while performing in a professional and artistic manner
  • Providing guest service according to California's Great America's standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving accurate directions
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in assigned your work area and performing all duties in compliance with California's Great America's Safety guidelines and requirements, including reporting all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision
  • Meeting scheduling availability requirements that include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Fulfilling attendance requirements as outlined in California's Great America's attendance policies
  • Adhering to California's Great America's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures
  • Performing other duties as they are assigned

Qualifications:
  • Availability to work all assigned rehearsal and event dates that include weekday/weekends nights and holidays
  • Willingness and ability to wear make‑up and costumes for extended periods of time
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, and DMV
  • Ability to provide record of previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
