Overview: ABA Therapist / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)Verbal Beginnings is a leading Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy provider serving children diagnosed with autism. We provide extensive training to anyone interested in learning about ABA therapy and autism and have a passion for working with children Schedule, Location and Compensation:When: Sessions typically occur 3-5 days per week for 2-3 hours, most often during after school hours between 3pm-8pmWhere: Sessions typically occur in the child’s natural environment (in the child’s home, community, and/or school).Compensation: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour, based on experience and certificationsWhat sets us apart in ABA Therapy:Supportive, fun and rewarding atmosphere for our staffExtensive training and support to help you become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)Student loan assistance to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), as well as free supervision hoursCollaborative environment that promotes professional growth and learningExcellent benefits for eligible employeesIf you are in this field, you know sometimes 'it takes a village', and we strive to provide that support.  Responsibilities: What does my day look like as a Behavior Technician (BT)/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT):ABA therapists work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans to address communication, behavior, feeding, ADLs, and social skills. The ABA therapist / Registered Behavior TechnicianCollects and records data to monitor the progress of a treatment plan and works in collaboration with the clinical supervisor to update the treatment plan as necessary Qualifications: Attributes and qualifications needed to be successful in this role:Patience, compassion and the desire to help children with autism achieve their goalsGenuine desire to learn about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) TherapyAbility to work independently and collaborate with othersHigh School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree (completed or in progress) preferredExperience working with children Must have valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportationAll ABA therapists will be required to complete or provide proof of completion of the 40-Hour RBT course. Verbal Beginnings will provide the course to those who need to complete it.PA Clearances:The state of PA has additional requirements for ABA providers. Employment is contingent upon receipt of the following during the pre-hire onboarding process.
