Typically 2nd shift is 12:00 PM to 8 PM
As a Quality Technician you will:
Inspect handling parts and complex assemblies using drawings and specifications to validate conformance to established guidelines, standards and customer requirements.
Investigate quality issues and assist in researching and disposition of product.
Compile clear and concise quality notifications.
Communicate results for requesting effective corrective action to bring resolution to attain high quality of end product economically and efficiently.
Assist with customer returns in finding root cause and help determining corrective action.
Recommend improvements to processes/procedures to enhance efficiency of workflow and quality of output.
Execute multiple transactions within the SAP Enterprise System.
This is a full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
2+ years’ experience within the Quality department in machine shop environment.
Ability to read blueprint and schematic drawings, understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and proficient math skills.
Knowledge of the metric system and experience in using measuring instruments (e.g. go/no-go gages, calipers, micrometers, indicators, optical comparator, height stand).
Knowledge of gage lab processes and quality audit procedures.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be self-directed to research, investigate, analyze and document information to resolve problems.
Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
Salary: $20.00 – 27.50/hour + 10% shift differential for 2nd shift
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
