Yoh Scientific is actively recruiting for a Research Scientist to work a contract assignment located in Duluth, GA.

Title: Research Scientist (Level I)
Location: on-site, Duluth, GA
Duration: at least 6 months, possible extension however not a guarantee
Pay Rate: $28 - $ 36.23/hour, based on experience
Work Schedule: fulltime (40 hrs/week), M-F

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead the formulation, development, and optimization of new programs, designs, and prototypes.
  • Participate in research formulating and writing with other staff.
  • Assess new technologies and future applications of technologies.
  • Propose, plan, and manage research projects, report preparation, and presentation of findings.
  • Apply for grants to continue their research
  • May be required to mentor, train and/or coach junior research scientists
  • Stay up to date on developments within their field through methods such as reading academic journals, attending training programs and attending conferences within their field.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or Process Engineering required
  • Laboratory formulation experience (MS with 0-2 yrs; BS with 0-4 yrs) required. Specifically, formulation and process experience with hydrogel and contact lens care is desired.
  • Fluency in English required. Must be able to write reports and communicate well to internal customers.
