You will assist the surgical team by acting as the primary scrub tech who handles the instruments, supplies and equipment during surgical procedures, ensuring sterilization at every point of the process.ABOUT THE HOSPITAL:United Memorial has been serving residents of Genesee County and surrounding rural communities since its inception as Batavia Hospital in 1902. Must maintain at least 15 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) per yearSupply check & sterilization. Ensure all supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available and sterilized for surgical procedures and proper operationOrientation. Assist in guiding medical/nursing students and technicians to the unitDraping & maintenance. Assist with draping procedures and demonstrates vigilance in maintaining overall sterility in the operation roomUnit development. Help identify goals and objectives of the unitEDUCATION:LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. PAY RANGE:$26.50 - $32.50CITY:BataviaPOSTAL CODE:14020The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
