Job Summary

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for monitoring gas emergency and gas and electric meter orders for company and contract service technicians. This position works cooperatively with the Contact Center, Receivables Management, Field Operations, and emergency agencies to coordinate efficient and timely scheduling of emergency and non-emergency meter order work. Analyze and respond to changes in priority and resourcing 24 hours/day, 365 days/year to ensure the best possible emergency response time and most productive routing and scheduling. The shift is 8p-6:30a. It is 4 10's.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee gas and electric meter order work, ensuring efficient resource allocation, route adjustments, and timely completion.
  • Communicate with field technicians and supervisors to manage work schedules and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Monitor performance, adherence to schedules, and report issues to management.
  • Handle emergency calls, ensuring customer safety and timely response to gas-related emergencies (e.g., leaks, outages).
  • Coordinate resources and prioritize emergency orders to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manage third-party damage communications and escalate issues as necessary to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Respond quickly to emergencies, providing field operations with clear instructions for urgent action.
  • Available for on-call rotation, with the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in PC applications (Microsoft Office), communication, and multitasking in a dynamic environment.
  • Ensure efficient distribution and completion of meter orders for field teams.
  • Process emergency calls and evaluate urgency to prioritize field responses.
  • Maintain customer safety and satisfaction by communicating precautions and ensuring proper incident management.
  • Handle third-party damage communications with internal teams and external customers.
  • Monitor and report on operational performance to ensure compliance with service standards.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Experience in emergency response and customer service.
  • Ability to interpret and apply instructions, safety rules, and technical documents.
  • Key Customers: Emergency services (fire, police), utilities, contact center, field operations, contractors, and damage prevention teams.


Education Description

Requires a high school diploma or GED.

Experience

Essential:

Must possess a strong background in teamwork skills and demonstrated the ability to produce desired results and maintain composure in a rapidly changing high stress environment.

Preferred:

Experience in the utility industry, customer service, dispatch, scheduling, or field operations in a 24x7 regulated environment.
