The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a level IV center, consists of 52 NICU Beds and a 20-bed step down unit. ECU Health Children s Hospital is the only tertiary facility in eastern North Carolina designed especially for pediatric patients and includes ECMO and pediatric surgery programs.
New NNP and PNP-AC graduates are encouraged to apply. PA s must have two years of NICU and/or Newborn experience.

- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care, or Physician Assistant
- NC RN licensure & NC Nurse Practitioner or NC licensure as a Physician Assistant
- National Board Certification as a Neonatal NP, Pediatric NP-Acute Care, or as PA required, including maintenance
- 2+ years of experience in health care setting
- Applicants will be required to have BLS certification from The American Heart Association
