ask your Recruiter for detailsJob DescriptionThe Fleet Mechanic 1 is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Company fleet equipment to include, class 1-8 diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, pallet jacks, and forklifts by performing the essential job dutiesWhat your day will look like:Perform various preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on all types of fleet equipmentTroubleshoots mechanical and electronic malfunctions, repair or replace defective parts as neededResearch and order parts, accurately record usage, and asset in managing stock inventoryComplete electronic work orders, ensure all information is recorded in computerized maintenance systemMaintain a clean and safe working environment, following all Good Manufacturing ProcessPerforms appropriate duties as assigned by managementWhat you need to succeed:Minimum age of 18 years oldValid driver s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policyPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policiesRegular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelinesAbility to maintain safety and security of Company assetsAbility to utilize all Company provided resources and technologyHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems on light duty, heavy duty and material handling equipmentAbility to operate hand tools and others such as bench grinders, torch, drill press, jacks and jack stands, Sawzall, etc. as required to perform workAbility to prioritize and plan work activities to ensure efficient use of timeAbility to work in a positive and productive team environmentFrequent bending, kneeling, overhead reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, exposure to weather, and frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50lbsRepeated exposure to chemicals, weather, and noiseFrequent standing and vehicle operationWillingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as requiredAbility to demonstrate initiative and teamworkPhysical RequirementsCCBCU is an Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled.
