Lab Technician

A Day in the Life:Bunge in Council Bluffs is a soybean crush and refining operation. The Lab Technician will work to ensure that quality specifications are met. Position Details:This role will work a 12 hour shift, 7-7. This is a rotating schedule & will work day & night shift. Hourly starting pay: $26.74What You ll Be Doing:Actively participate in our Employee Safety Involvement planMaintain a safe work environment for all employeesPerform all applicable analytical tests on raw ingredients, in-process, and finished productsPerform data entry of analysis into various QA databasesAssist in identifying and managing HOLD productsIdentify quality and procedure deviations; effectively report such deviations and provide accurate information in a timely manner and as neededPrepare testing solutions, equipment calibrations, general maintenance and upkeep of laboratoryCommitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.Perform duties as assignedSkills/Experience Requirements:High School diploma or GED RequiredMinimum of 1-2 years of experience in processing or manufacturing environmentWork experience in a laboratory environment is preferredGeneral knowledge of production processes, food lab instrumentation, and laboratory test methods preferredStrong analytical and problem solving skills. Sound decision and teamwork skills are essential. Detail oriented a mustComputer skills, including experience with Word and Excel is preferredEffective oral and written communication skillsOrganizational skills are a mustAbility to follow written procedures and established test methodsMust be able to proficiently read and write in English for the purposes of record keeping and safety and quality training processes.Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to perform office and data entry workAt Bunge, people don t just come here to work, they come here to grow
