This shared passion for achievement is the lifeblood of our company.Job Summary:The Shipping & Inventory Clerk is responsible for pulling and processing orders for shipment along with maintain inventory. Duties/Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The duties listed below are representative of the essential functions, qualifications, physical demands, and the work environment encountered in this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with any other duties as assigned.This role is responsible for inspection, packaging, labeling, and preparing documentation for verification on shipments, receive materials, and assist with maintaining inventory.Verify products are in assigned bin locationPrepare, package, and document outgoing materials.Pulls correct quantity from storage location and verifies that pulled order are accurate.Monitors and reports any inventory shortage issues to supervision.Receive, inspect inventory, document, and store materials.Works at different workstations as shipping needs require; maintains shipping inventory of supplies.Performs shipping duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations, and sorting.Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow safety regulations.Operates forklift, along with other shipping devices, in a safe, efficient manner.Performs related duties as required by supervision.Breaks down cardboard for recycling.
Required Skills/Abilities:Embrace and exhibit Local Bounti s Core Values.Embraces and supports the safety culture at the facility.Ability to comprehend simple written and verbal instructions and procedures.Strong sense of organization and urgency.Must be able to communicate effectively in English.Possesses basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Maintain the production pace of other team members.Ability to obtain forklift operator certification.Pay dependent on experience and skills.Education and Experience:High school diploma, GED, or equivalent6 months logistics, retail, or customer service experienceForklift Certification within 90 days of job entry dateFamiliarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is preferredPhysical Demands:(Physical demands are a general guide and specific positions will vary based on working conditions, locations and facility/department needs)While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and environments both hot and cold.The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example: two arms, two legs or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down.The ability to time movements in anticipation of changes in the speed and/or direction of a moving object.The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects.The employee must frequently lift and/or move 10 to 25 pounds and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
