This systems engineer will work with a highly skilled team providing critical weapon systems engineering support to the U.S. Air Force. The selected candidate will be working towards a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering from an ABET accredited program, Computer Sciences, or Mathematics or Physics , or a similar field, and a desire to work with system requirements, system interfaces, specialty engineering support and requirements verification for a complex weapon system.
The candidate must possess proficiency in communicating technical concepts to a broad audience, both orally and written. Examples of project management during formal education is expected to be presented during the interview. The strongest candidates will have completed coursework in systems engineering or computer science.

Why Sentinel? The Sentinel Program is an enormous and complex “Mega-Project” modernizing the entire ICBM weapon system deployed across tens of thousands of square miles in five states. Without any doubt, Sentinel is one of the DoD’s most important acquisition efforts for the next decade, if not longer. It includes a complete refurbishment of hundreds of aging Minuteman III ICBM facilities to secure and support a newly designed, technologically advanced ballistic missile. It will also provide an entirely new command and control system as well as vast array of required support equipment specifically engineered to operate and sustain the new weapon system over the decades ahead. It is a long-term project -- the weapon system will deploy over a nine-year period beginning in approximately 2026, and remain operational until at least 2075. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $39780 - $53730
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
