Job Summary

To install, repair, and maintain CenterPoint Energy's electronic equipment to enable it to operate the business in a safe, efficient, and effective way.

Essential Functions

  • Repair, calibrate, maintain and tests all types of underground metal detectors, gas detectors, ethane detectors, personal monitors pressure gauges, VEUs (vapor extraction units) to ensure equipment is in working condition when needed.
  • Creates and maintains accurate records, manual and automated, required for the efficient and effective installation, repair and maintenance of CenterPoint Energy's gas detection equipment.
  • Performs other related tasks as apparent or assigned.


Education Description

Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent knowledge of English, mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages), punctuation and grammar.

Experience

Requires a minimum two (2) years of experience in gas or related industry.

Able to complete an Online Electronics Course within two (2) years of employment.

Requires possess of a valid driver's license and a safe driving record as determined by the Company.
