Position Highlights:

  • In collaboration with Allergy and Immunology Physicians manage a variety of conditions such as environmental allergies, food allergies, medication allergies, venom allergy, eczema, asthma, eosinophilic esophagitis, urticaria/angioedema, anaphylaxis, immunodeficiencies, sinus disease, nasal polyps and more
  • Offers testing modalities such as skin testing (percutaneous and intradermal), patch testing, spirometry, and food/medication challenges.
  • See both pediatric and adult patients.
  • Have the opportunity to interact with Optum colleagues in other specialties (Primary Care, ENT, Derm, GI, Pulm, etc) in our practice.  
  • See both pediatric and adult patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with allergies, asthma, and immunological disorders.
  • Prescribe medications, including allergy immunotherapy, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Administer and interpret allergy tests such as skin prick tests and patch tests.
  • Provide emergency care for acute allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, and educate patients on emergency self-management strategies.

Required Qualifications:
•    Unrestricted Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse licensure in the state of New York or has New York application in process 
•    Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse program, Masters level preferred 
•    National Board Certification as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse 
•    Active and unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain prior to start 

New York Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $109,513 to $147,146 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.  In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
