Systems Control is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op to become a part of our Integrated Substation Solutions team - May - December 2025. A Day In The Life
  • Assist manufacturing with implementation of safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements
  • Design fixtures, carts, and tooling
  • Research and justify new capital equipment using A3 methodology
  • Create methods for standard work procedures
  • Participate in Rapid Improvement (Kaizen) events
  • Recognize and help with problem solving efforts
  • Assist with preventative maintenance procedures
  • Work with design engineers to implement design changes
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • Pursuing a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or related field;2nd year + preferred
  • Basics of manufacturing processes such as welding, metal cutting & forming, painting, assembly and serviceability.
  • Utilization of Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • 3D modeling experience with AutoCAD or Creo is a plus
  • Mechanical/construction aptitude and hands-on design a plus
  • Experience in fixture design; part specific tables and tools to help with manufacturing practices
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems
  • Ability to take on multiple responsibilities and projects at once
  • Background in 3D printing is a plus
  • Ability to work in a team environment
