Job Title: Security Manager Location: Pilgrims Ellijay Reports to: Ellijay Complex Safety ManagerPosition Status: Full time – Salary  DESCRIPTION:Lead and direct a team of security professionals, including hiring selection, training, mentoring, and evaluating performance Oversee strategy Routinely audit processes to ensure compliance and discover mitigation efforts  Be proactive to seek out opportunities to prevent security breaches Uncover strategies to prevent future breaches Ensure the security team remains fully staffed at all times Test procedures to ensure adherence  Physical Audits Checks at minimum 2x/month Provide expertise and guidance, working closely with plant leadership team to contain, analyze, and remediate security breaches or threats. Contribute to post-incident reviews and develop recommendations for improving incident response capabilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Shipping, Procurement, HR, vendors, etc.) to ensure the integration of security measures into business processes and systemsEstablish performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of controls engineering effortsDeliver routine updates in Security group meetings, sharing relevant information, progress reports, and insightsStay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in security operations and recommend improvements to enhance the organization's security postureStay updated on emerging trends in the information security community, including new vulnerabilities, methodologies, and products. Share relevant information with team members and ManagementResponsible for managing a secure entrance and perimeter for the facilityLearn all the jobs of your immediate staffSupervise, train, and evaluate performance of staff; Implement disciplinary procedures when necessaryResolve employees' conflicts and issues promptly and objectivelyQuality direct communication with company and outside servicesWork with the Plant Shipping/ Offal/ Live Receiving/ Traffic areasOther duties as assigned    QUALIFICATIONS:       Previous security related experience a plusHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentComputer skills required Proficient in Word, Excel, OutlookAbility to handle conflictCommunication skills—written and verbalAbility to speak multiple languages beneficial but not requiredSelf-starter & Team playerMust be able to demonstrate effective people skillsGood attendance recordMust be able to work flexible hoursSaturday & Sunday hours as needed or required JBS / Pilgrim's is an equal opportunity employer.EOE/ Vets/ Disability
