Registers patients in the system as necessary. Collects and reviews all patient insurance information and completes insurance forms. Confirms patient insurance verification and eligibility. Obtains pre-authorization of services and/or referrals. Assesses patient financial requirements and advises patients and families on insurance benefits, co-pays and financial obligations. Scheduling new patient consults; orders entered by providers for internal or external needs; imaging; radiation treatments; procedures Coordinate with providers and team to schedule necessary tests and procedures Answering phones Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum two years of medical business office experience with insurance procedures and patient interactionAdditional Attributes:Strong Desire to LearnFlexibleAbility to Multi-taskCan Successfully Prioritize TasksStrong Organizational SkillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelySelf-StarterPHYSICAL DEMANDS : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
