Cusano's Baking Company has openings for experienced food industry Maintenance Tech/Mechanics.Must have at least 3+ years of food production equipment repair (on your resume) at a food processing/manufacturing facility. Positions are a 5-day work week with occasional 6th day as well.Reports to: Maintenance Manager(s)Summary, Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the electrical and mechanical uptime of production equipment for our growing industrial bakery facility in Coconut Creek, Florida.Responsible for documenting all planned and unplanned activities in maintenance CMMS.Responsible for equipment uptime and preventive maintenance.Troubleshooting equipment downtime issues on production and packaging lines.Must perform essential and preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment and facilities.Must ensure that tasks are completed safely and on time with suitable quality craftsmanship.Other critical day-to-day responsibilities:Must prioritize workload in a systematic fashion.Must perform well in a team environment.Must work cleanly and well-organized.Must document work for accountability and audit conformance.Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and openly exchange informationMust be extremely diligent in timely follow up of assigned tasks.Must communicate effectively with peers and management.Must be organized at all times keeping a clean environment.Must perform other duties as assigned.Staff/Non-Staff Interaction:Will communicate daily with internal staff as well as external staff inclusive of: Mechanical and Electrical contractors.Preferred Qualifications:Hands-on experience as a Maintenance Mechanic: 5 yearsElectrical and Electronic experience: 5 yearsMinimum Education and Related Experience Requirements:Vocational/Technical training or 5 years of practical experienceDemonstrated strong electrical orientation and mechanical aptitudeExperience with servo drivers and automationElectronic familiarity, ability to configure drivers and related componentsCompetiencies with PLC: Troubleshooting level diagnostics, analog and digital field devices, Allen-Bradley a plus, but not expected/required.Working knowledge of service utilities maintenance, 480/240V three phase, 110V single phase, power distribution.HVAC and refrigeration a plusAbility to read electrical schematics.Machine tool and mechanical fabrication knowledge a plusFood Manufacturing experience highly desirable.Minimum language requirements:Must be able to speak and write English proficiently; additional language skills preferred.Minimum Admin Skills and Physical Requirements:Must be able to speak and write English proficiently; additional language skills preferred.Must be able to work on and around equipment, occasionally lift up to 75 poundsMust be able to work entire shift on feet.Environment is a bakery; must be comfortable working in a hot and cold environment.Schedule and Pay:8 hr shift with occasional overtime, and ability to assist on other shifts, as needed.
