About the Role:
The Oncology technician will work within a very experienced Oncology team to learn about the oncology cases that we see, in order to assist our doctors and provide the highest level of care for our patients. You will be responsible for skilled nursing care, including assisting with and learning chemotherapy delivery and other treatment modalities to give our patients the highest possible quality of life. Oncology is a growing and highly specialized field, providing an excellent opportunity for development within the veterinary profession.
Schedule:
- Tuesday Friday
- 8a 6p
- NO WEEKENDS
- Starting compensation would be $20 but can go as high as $30 for an experienced, level III technician.
- You are a Veterinary Technician dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care.

- You must have a strong foundational understanding and can perform the basic responsibilities of a veterinary technician including (but not limited to):
- Venipuncture
- Placing IV Catheters
- Drug Calculations
- Administration of Medications (IV or other methods)
- Taking Vitals
- Gathering Medical History

Peak Veterinary Referral Center is a 14,000 sq. ft. hospital providing state-of-the-art diagnostics, treatments, and 24-hour care for hospitalized patients seven days a week.
We offer referral services in the fields of internal medicine, cardiology, surgery, oncology, radiology, and behavior. PEAK is the most comprehensive multi-specialty facility serving northern New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire.
In 2021, we launched a 7-day-per-week veterinary Urgent Care service to support the non-critical medical needs of pets
