We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and QualificationsThe Registered Nurse ECMO coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. The RN ECMO performs Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) therapy to support patients with impaired heart and lung function. The RN serves as an advocate for patients and supports an unparalleled patient experience.What you will do in this role:Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.Prepare and operate clinical equipment and circuitry per ECMO policies.Maintain and assess ECMO circuit function.Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and recommend revisions to the multidisciplinary care team.What qualifications you will need:Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start dateBasic Cardiac Life Support certification requiredECMO certification requiredNew Hampshire Registered Nurse license or active compact RN license required Bachelors Degree BSN is requiredSituated in Portsmouth, NH, Portsmouth Regional Hospital is a premier 234-bed acute care facility that offers exceptional healthcare services to the Seacoast region of Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire. This hospital is the sole ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center on the Seacoast of New Hampshire, making it an essential resource for the community.
