We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and QualificationsThe RN Manager OR Endo ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives. What qualifications you will need:Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice or compact state requiredAssociate's Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred3-5 years of charge nurse experience preferredBasic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 90 days of hireAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire What you will do in this role:Assist the Director of Surgical Services with department activities to assure a coordinated effort in fulfilling department responsibilities and efficiencies of the Same Day Surgery (SDS) Department, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Function as a clinical expert in the SDS/PAT/PACU arena. Work cohesively with the Director to develop standards and procedures for providing and improving quality patient care. Involved in making recommendations and changes to policies using evidence based research.
