  • Must be BC in Pediatric Emergency Medicine

Position Profile:

  • 25,000 annual Pediatric visits
  • 14-bed PEDS ED with 11 private rooms and Pediatric Fast Track area
  • Scribe coverage
  • A large acute-care area for more serious injuries and illnesses
  • 54 bed Level III NICU
  • Full complement of Pediatric sub-specialists on site
  • Paragon EMR system (EPIC coming in 2025)
  • Pediatric and Family Medicine residency on site
  • Group consists of PEM, Adult Care Pediatricians and Advanced Practice Providers
  • W2 status with comprehensive benefits program

Saint Peter s University Hospital, a member of Saint Peter s Healthcare System, is a 478-bed acute-care teaching hospital sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Metuchen. Saint Peter s is a state-designated children s hospital and a regional perinatal center, and is a regional specialist in diabetes, gastroenterology with a specialized Heartburn and Reflux Center, oncology, orthopedics and women s services.

As a state-designated acute care children s hospital, The Children s Hospital at Saint Peter s University Hospital offers a full-range of pediatric specialized healthcare services for newborns and children through young adulthood. The Children s Hospital at Saint Peter s operates one of the largest, most advanced neonatal intensive care units in the country. Our state-designated Regional Perinatal Center is renowned throughout New Jersey for the exceptional level of high-risk maternity and neonatal care provided.

The Dorothy B. Hersh Pediatric Emergency Department at The Children's Hospital at Saint Peter's is the only pediatric emergency department in New Jersey to earn the prestigious Lantern Award for from the national Emergency Nurses Association (ENA). The Lantern Award demonstrates an emergency department s accomplishments in incorporating evidence-based practice and innovation into emergency care.
