Cybersecurity Compliance Test Engineer LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FLJOB STATUS: Full-TimeClearance: Active SecretCERTIFICATIONS: Must meet DOD 8140 Cyber Workforce Foundational Qualification RequirementsTRAVEL: 30% Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Cybersecurity Compliance Test Engineer for the TMAS 2 96 CTG Task Order, supporting the 48 CTS / TGEB. Our cybersecurity test team is searching for new members to support the 48th Cyber Space Test Squadron (48 CTS) at Eglin AFB, FL. The 48th CTS provides a range of cybersecurity support to both the United States Air and Space Forces. Applicants should be able to help conduct compliance testing and conduct security analysis on systems and/or software to understand and identify vulnerabilities. We provide several opportunities to learn ranging from on-the-job training with other team members to formal courses for unique technology areas. We realize that no one will have all these qualifications. We are looking for people that can bring a strong foundation in one of the listed areas and are motivated to learn the others. Position responsibilities can span from compliance testing to penetration testing, depending on the skillset. This position provides support to the 48th Cyberspace Test Squadron at Eglin AFB and does include travel to meet 48th CTS mission requirements. Travel can be up to 30% of the time and mostly includes travel within the United States but may include travel overseas. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS • Technical Bachelor's Degree and at least 3-10 years of applicable experience. Additional experience may be substituted for degree requirements. • Must be a US Citizen. • Active Secret clearance is required and must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. • Must meet DOD 8140 Cyber Workforce Foundational Qualification requirements prior to the commencement of work. • Passionate about cybersecurity and delivering products that exceed expectations. • Exceptional leadership skills. • Exceptional organization and decision-making skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. • Insatiable drive to understand unique technologies. • Excellent self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision. • Ability to work effectively in small and large team settings to solve complex problems. • Travel up to 15-20 weeks per year, potentially to worldwide sites. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS • Knowledge in the Cybersecurity Assess and Authorize (A&A) process to support DoD acquisition programs through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process • Knowledge of DoD acquisition process • Experience in cybersecurity testing and/or leading cyber test events. • Proficient in Windows and Linux Operating System. • Understanding of network security/engineering. • Knowledge of common wired and wireless network protocol structures. • Experience using tools like eMASS, DISA STIG Viewer, DISA STIGs, ACAS, NESSUS. RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the Air Force, including leadership, technical personnel, and vendors. • Develop test strategies for cybersecurity testing on DoD systems. • Manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing direction and guidance as needed. • Implement testing policies and procedures that align with Air Force cybersecurity policies and standards. • Attend meetings with customers to help test team prepare for events. • Document and communicate test results effectively to technical and non-technical user groups in written and oral formats in a timely and effective manner. • Agent to the Security Control Assessor for multiple Authorizing Officials (AOs). • Conduct independent compliance assessments, data collection, test automation, and reporting. • Perform system security analysis on systems and/or software to understand and identify cyber vulnerabilities. • Execute hands-on testing which includes significant technical skills with multiple operating systems.
