NetOps Engineer

Description

We are seeking a NetOps Engineer to join our team in the financial services industry located in BENSALEM, Pennsylvania. As a NetOps Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting projects and implementations, maintaining network security infrastructure, and handling requests from other teams within the business. This role will also involve proactive improvement of internal systems and working closely with third-party vendors.

Responsibilities:
Collaborating on projects and implementations, and facilitating handoffs to other teams.
Developing and maintaining documentation and diagrams for projects, network security devices, services, and implementations.
Managing and updating network security systems with software and firmware updates as required.
Conducting regular reviews, audits, and remediation of network security devices to ensure compliance with standards.
Supporting the analysis and diagnosis of network security problems, identifying root causes, providing recommendations for remediation, and implementing corrective actions.
Assisting with vulnerability remediation and performing security hardening of network security systems.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems relating to TCP/IP, certificates, SNMP, security and performing corrective action.
Documenting and designing current and future expansions of systems and network through thoughtful analysis and review.
Developing a working knowledge of the business side and effectively interfacing with all user areas.
Researching, planning, and implementing network and security solutions and changes.
Ensuring timely completion of tasks, short term, and long-term projects.
Providing secondary application support for network security admin functions.

Requirements

Must have a solid understanding of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
Experience with Checkpoint technologies is required
Familiarity with Cisco ASA and Cisco Routers is essential
Should have hands-on experience with Cisco Technologies
Knowledge of AB Testing methods will be an advantage
Experience with Backup Technologies is expected
Proficiency in dealing with Computer Hardware is necessary
Must have experience in Configuration Management
Understanding of Datacenter operations is crucial
Financial services industry experience is preferred.
