Job Number: R0231688 System Security Engineer The Opportunity: As a system security engineer, you play a pivotal role in securing our hardware and sof tware to protect our user community and critical assets. From troubleshooting to remediating bugs and vulnerabilities, you use your expertise to ensure that things run smoothly. As a System Security Engineer at Booz Allen, you'll have an operational impact from day one. You'll guide your team of professionals as they maintain existing applications and keep systems working in sustainment mode. You and your team will use programming and scripting languages, including Python and Bash, to continuously enhance and maintain the application, troubleshoot any issues that arise operationally, and upgrade the system to meet security requirements. You Have: * 4+ years of experience performing Information Systems Security Officer functions in support of USCYBERCOM or IC projects and offices* 3+ years of experience as a systems security engineer in programs, including systems security architecture development, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test, and transition into operations* 1+ years of experience working with the Risk Management Framework ( RMF ) process* Experience assessing security vulnerabilities in sof tware or systems and implementing mitigations* Experience working on teams using Agile technologies, including Atlassian Suite* Experience working with Amazon Web Services ( AWS ) cloud technology* Top Secret clearance* Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems* DoD 8570 compliant IAT Level II Certification Nice If You Have: * Experience working with eMass or Xacta* Knowledge of securing critical assets and systems for DoDIN* Ability to rapidly assess and acclimate to a fast-moving team dynamic* Master's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems* AWS Cloud Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Top Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
