Project Description:
Data conversion and validation to support the Budget team during the migration of budgeting and commitment control data from PeopleSoft to Workday.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Perform record-by-record reconciliation, aggregate totals validation, and exception identification to ensure no data loss or corruption during the PeopleSoft-to-Workday migration.
- Refine data crosswalks showing PeopleSoft field equivalents, data type conversions, formula translations, and Workday FDM integration points.
- Identify data quality issues, unmapped fields, transformation failures, and process deviations between legacy and target systems.
- Review and validate how PeopleSoft budget data integrates into Workday through the Financial Data Model (FDM), ensuring compliance with FDM schema requirements.
- Document validation findings and remediation steps, including detailed validation reports, exception logs, root cause analysis, and recommended corrective actions.
- Work closely with technical and functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data conversion and integration issues.
- Support UAT and sign-off activities by collaborating with Budget team members and project stakeholders to validate reconciliation results and certify readiness for go-live.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

MS Outlook, Teams, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Tumbleweed, VDI, Oracle Products, PeopleSoft, and Workday.
Required Experience:
- 84 months of experience developing and executing data extraction and transformation processes for Budget and Finance.
- 84 months of experience optimizing SQL queries, Application Engine, and SQR scripts for efficient data migration.
- 84 months of experience mapping PeopleSoft data fields to Workday equivalents and resolving data inconsistencies.
- 84 months of experience implementing ETL tools and validating data accuracy following data migration.
- 84 months of experience collaborating with functional teams and Workday consultants to support seamless system transition.
- 84 months of experience developing and maintaining clear and consistent documentation for data conversion processes, procedures, and validation activities.
