Job Description:

GIS Technician
Location: Hybrid, Naperville, IL
Duration: Long-term multi year contract
Pay Rate: $23-27/hr W2
Job Description:
- Converts as built data into GIS ensuring that quality and turnaround time metrics are consistently met
- Provides as-built training and QA for GIS mapping contractors
- Creates maps, drawings and reports for internal and external customers ensuring that quality and turnaround time metrics are consistently met
- Provides subject matter expertise, training and rudimentary system support on Geospatial issues.
- Knowledge of Gas utilities (Distribution or Transmission)
Job Requirements:
  • 1+ Years Experience in a related field.
  • Diploma or certificate in Geographical Information Systems or related curriculum.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage routine GIS tasks, including data management and map creation ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Create maps and other visual representations using GIS tools.
  • Ensure timely updates to GIS databases.
  • Collaborate with GIS Analysts on complex projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies.
  • Provide input on GIS tool enhancements.
