Genesis10 is currently seeking a Python Developer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for building and maintaining software written in Python within the client's Quartz environment
  • Work with Business Analysts understand user requirements and to implement solutions to deliver data to internal consumers using our existing frameworks
  • Leverage Python to build components in our stack
  • Provide data critical to many aspects of the Firm's activities including Trading & Risk Management as well as middle office, back office, and regulatory reporting

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of Python development experience
  • 5+ years of experience in investment banking
  • Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of Python Object Oriented Development
  • Experience in real time messaging, SQL experience
  • Problem solving skills with an ability to address performance issues

Desired skills:
  • Experience working with Quartz application development or similar such as Athena or SecDB
