Randstad is seeking a hands-on Senior IBM Maximo Developer / Systems Administrator to support critical technical debt reduction initiatives for Amtrak's Digital Technology organization. In this direct backfill role, you will focus on tactical, day-to-day execution to upgrade existing enterprise asset management environments from IBM Maximo 7.5 to Maximo 7.6 (currently in proof-of-concept), while building and maintaining robust integration pipelines and interfaces via the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF). Rather than high-level enterprise architecture, this position requires deep technical development, configuration, troubleshooting, and administrative oversight. You will work alongside internal database administrators and systems engineers to provide technical guidance and validation during Oracle database upgrades from Oracle 11 to Oracle 12, assist with hypervisor migrations (VMware to Microsoft Hyper-V), resolve complex multi-tier production issues, and execute planned cutovers.

- Database Upgrade Oversight & Alignment: Collaborate closely with internal DBAs to coordinate and validate database upgrade and migration activities from Oracle 11 to Oracle 12, ensuring schema compatibility, JDBC driver updates, optimizer tuning, and database connectivity align with Maximo application requirements.

- Testing & Deployment Support: Develop rollback procedures, deployment checklists, and operational documentation; assist with system integration testing, performance validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Off-Hours Deployment Coverage: Provide hands-on cutover support during planned system updates, database changes, and major releases outside standard business hours (including occasional weekend or overnight maintenance windows).
