The role requires the first two weeks of Fully onsite work and then a transition to Hybrid mode(3 times a week onsite, 2 days Remote)
Estimated Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 annually + Benefits

The salary midpoint for this position is $105,000. Individual salary determination is a formula that is based on credit given for years of experience doing the same or very similar work to this position. The midpoint is just for your reference because the salary of a person hired into the role may be above or below that rate. If you become a final candidate for this position, they will determine the specific rate of pay applicable to you

Job Description:

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Business/Technical Writer to join our team at PG&E. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in documentation and technical writing, along with experience using ISO, JIRA, and Confluence. As a Business/Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation for various technical projects and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and update technical documentation, including manuals, reports, procedures, and user guides.

Collaborate with subject matter experts and engineers to gather information and translate technical concepts into user-friendly content.

Ensure documentation aligns with industry standards and best practices, including ISO 9001 requirements.

Utilize tools such as JIRA and Confluence to organize and manage documentation.

Review and edit documentation for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.

Keep documentation up to date to reflect changes in processes, technologies, and products.

Assist in maintaining a centralized knowledge base for technical teams.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and document business and technical requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field (English, Communications, Technical Writing, or similar).

Proven experience in technical writing and documentation.

Proficiency in using ISO 9001 standards for documentation.

Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for documentation management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Knowledge of energy industry terminology and concepts (preferred, but not required).
