MicroStation | CAD Technician

Description

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Microstation CAD Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in 2D MicroStation/CAD, with a strong disposition to learn and adapt to the 3D aspects of the software as relevant to our industry and operations. Our primary focus being bridge infrastructure - experience in Iowa Bridge would be a highly valued asset as these designs and specifications vary greatly from state to state.

As a MicroStation CAD Technician, you will be responsible for:

1. Producing technical drawings of Bridge infrastructures using MicroStation software, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
2. Operating in both 2D and 3D environments, creating complex models and visualizations.
3. Collaborating with engineers to interpret design concepts and translate them into workable construction systems.
4. Coordinating and referencing various sources in order to maintain a cohesive and well-structured model.
5. Assisting in on-going training for the team on MicroStation, especially on the 3D aspects.

Requirements

Qualifications:
Proven experience in MicroStation/CAD (2D) drafting and modelling is mandatory. Proficiency in 3D will be considered an asset.Prior experience with Bridge infrastructure projects, preferably Iowa Bridge designs.Exceptional understanding of space, scale, materials, color, and detail while designing.Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Strong communication and team-player skills.Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and software developments.
