Senior HPC Archtitect

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior HPC Architect in Fremont, CA.

Summary:
As an HPC Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing, analyzing, and improving HPC applications and systems. As a crucial member of our IT team, you will contribute your technical assistance and guidance to projects for HPC. Acting as a technical liaison, you will address complex business problems with high compute requirements. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving our commitment to innovation and efficiency.

Duties:
* Collaborate with IT operations and business teams to support business user issues, requests and support enhancing HPC solution
* Advocate best practices and recommend technical solutions for improvements in usability of application and systems performance

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in High Performance Computing technologies
* Experienced in Python, HPC clusters, Slurm, filesystems (ZFS, Gluster, Luster, NFS, CIFS), MPI (OpenMPI, MPICH2, IntelMIP), CUDA
* Highly experienced and hands on with Cloud technologies, preferably MS Azure
* Effective collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with simulation products such as ANSYS, COMSOL

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
