Title: SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant

Location: Houston, TX - Hybrid - 3 or 2 days on site

Duration: 6+ Months with Extensions

Job Summary:

  • We seek a highly skilled and experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant to join our team, specifically focusing on SAP TM and SAP S/4HANA implementations in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • The ideal candidate will deeply understand transportation processes, SAP TM configuration, and integration with SAP S/4HANA, along with extensive domain expertise in Oil & Gas logistics and supply chain management.
  • This role will involve providing strategic guidance, delivering end-to-end solutions, and supporting the optimization of transportation and logistics operations within the Oil & Gas sector.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Led and executed SAP TM implementations, including configuration, customization, and integration with SAP S/4HANA, ensuring seamless project delivery and alignment with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and optimize transportation and logistics processes tailored to the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Provide expertise in transportation planning, scheduling, freight cost management, and carrier collaboration.
  • Ensure smooth integration of SAP TM with SAP S/4HANA, leveraging best practices for transportation management, order fulfillment, and supply chain processes within the Oil & Gas context.
  • Utilize deep knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry to address sector-specific challenges in transportation, such as bulk transport of hazardous materials, pipeline management, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Analyze current transportation processes and map them to SAP TM functionalities. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction through efficient transportation management.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders to ensure the smooth adoption of SAP TM solutions, with an emphasis on Oil & Gas operations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including supply chain, logistics, finance, and IT departments to deliver cohesive and integrated transportation management solutions.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation. Ensure that SAP TM solutions are delivered on time and within scope, meeting the business goals of the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SAP TM and SAP S/4HANA, recommending and implementing system upgrades or enhancements to meet evolving business needs.

Experience & Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP TM and SAP S/4HANA implementation.
  • Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry is mandatory, with a solid understanding of transportation and logistics challenges in this sector.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in SAP TM (Configuration and Customization).
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, including integration points with SAP TM.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific transportation processes such as bulk material handling, hazardous goods transport, and pipeline logistics.
  • Understanding of transportation cost management, freight order management, and carrier management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
