Field Service Technician with Security Clearance

Job Description Position Overview: This role supports the installation, configuration, testing, training, and maintenance of physical security systems, including ACS, IDS, and CCTV. Work may occur in demanding environments including confined spaces, heights, hazardous areas, and both domestic and OCONUS locations. Key Responsibilities: System Installation & ConfigurationInstall, configure, test, document, and maintain physical security systems and components.Install and document components for Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACS), CCTV, and turnstiles.Configure and document security systems and related equipment to meet operational requirements.Install IDS on perimeter fencing and secured areas. Field Work & Technical Tasks: Install door contacts, motion detectors, duress switches, glass-break sensors, card readers, keypads, turnstiles, exit devices, power supplies, enclosures, junction boxes, cameras, lenses, mounts, and more.Perform copper and fiber optic cabling installation, routing, termination, and testing.Troubleshoot and diagnose system errors; recommend documented repair solutions.Program new system components and perform software-based troubleshooting as required. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks on all IDS, ACS, and CCTV installations.Perform work order review, blueprint interpretation, standards compliance verification, and schematic interpretation.Maintain documentation accuracy and inventory control. Leadership & Customer Support: Provide installation planning and tasking for crews or teams.Supervise contractor activities related to installation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.Deliver system turnover packages and customer training. Working Conditions: Work may occur in:Confined spacesHazardous or adverse weather environmentsGovernment and commercial facilities (interior and exterior)Heights: towers, roofs, masts, lift equipmentLong-term standing or sitting may be required.Travel required CONUS and OCONUS; must obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.Appropriate industry safety certifications required. Required Qualifications: Factory-trained in installation/maintenance of major IDS/ACS/CCTV platforms such as:LENELHoneywellSensormaticBoschSix (6) years of experience installing security, video surveillance, card access, and alarm systems of similar scope and complexity (low-voltage experience required).Certification as a LENEL Certified Associate (LCA).BICSI certification (or equivalent) recommended.CI Polygraph required
