Logistics Specialist with Security Clearance

Logistics Specialist Contingent upon Contract Funding Purpose: * Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Logistics Specialist in our Norfolk Virginia location who will be a key support in performing warehouse operations. Job Description: * Provides shipment tracking details to the UNITS and PMO Office. * Licensed forklift operator. * Manages DRMO disposition process. * Performs Physical Inventory and Cycle Count Audits. * Prepares large orders for Shipping * Ensures all Modules and Kits returned from the field are labeled to meet company standards and can reproduce labels that are needed to meet the requirements. * Updates the ticketing system with pertinent information for CDRL reporting. * Assist with PMI testing. * Augments the Shipping and Receiving Clerk and Warehouse Specialists for surges or absences. * Knowledgeable and understands DCMA standards for Government property management and storage. * Confirms IUID Compliance * Assist with managing the warehouse operations. * Manages Inventory in DPAS Qualifications: * High School graduate * Must have a decent level of knowledge on DPAS. * Working knowledge and understanding of DCMA standards for government property management * Familiar with OSHA standards for safety and hazards * At least 3-years of experience in warehouse operations * Licensed forklift operator Desired Qualifications: * Familiarity with military organizations, protocols, procedures, and processes, and working knowledge of addressing issues/concerns using the chain-of-command. * IUID Compliance * DPAS Experience Security Requirements: * Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance to access military facilities, naval shipyards, private shipyards, and naval installations. Travel Requirements: * Minimal travel required: 0% - 25%. * If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements: * Repetitive motion, Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Picking, Grasping, Talking, Hearing, and Visual Acuity (depth perception). * Subject to outside environmental conditions (extreme cold/heat), subject to noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions (affect the respiratory system), frequently work in close quarters and/or function in narrow aisles or passageways (areas that could cause claustrophobia). * Protective clothing or equipment and face shields or goggles shall be worn when welding, cutting, or working with molten metal.
