Our client is a leader in the robotics industry, dedicated to developing cutting-edge automation solutions that transform the future of robotics. They specialize in advanced robotic systems for various applications, with a focus on performance, reliability, and precision.

Position Overview:

They are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Mechatronics design to lead the mechanical design and integration of robotic systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, and will be responsible for driving the design, development, and optimization of complex mechatronic components within our clients robotic platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the mechanical design and development of mechatronic systems, ensuring integration of electrical, mechanical, and software components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing, to deliver highly reliable robotic systems.
  • Develop, prototype, and test mechanical systems, including actuators, sensors, and robotics mechanisms.
  • Optimize mechanical designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of mechatronic systems from concept to production, ensuring timely delivery and performance targets.
  • Provide technical leadership in the design, analysis, and simulation of complex electromechanical systems.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in robotics and mechatronics.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on mechatronics and robotics design.
  • Strong understanding of mechatronic systems, including actuators, motors, sensors, and control systems.
  • Proven experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, ANSYS).
  • Expertise in the design and analysis of precision mechanisms, electromechanical systems, and robotic assemblies.
  • Experience with system integration, prototyping, and hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of managing complex projects and mentoring teams.
  • Familiarity with robotic standards and safety protocols is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working with autonomous systems, industrial robots, or mobile robotics.
  • Knowledge of control theory, embedded systems, and programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
  • Familiarity with material selection, manufacturing processes, and mechanical testing methods.
