The Air & Space defense Systems (ASDS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has an opportunity for a Contracts Manager with the Upper Tier Missile Defense program area. This role will lead the Radar Development and Growth Portfolio. The portfolio consists of contract execution for domestic radar development contract with FMS scope and contract negotiation and execution of awards with small businesses, as well as the capture future domestic awards. In this role, you will be responsible for customer communication, contract management, change management, coordination of invoicing, fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. You will need to utilize regular application of thorough business acumen and subject matter expertise to understand program performance requirements, provide guidance, and influence results in support of program and financial objectives. Additionally, the Manager, Contracts is required to work closely with Program Management leadership, the Office of General Counsel, and cross-functional peers in support of program gate reviews, program management reviews, business strategy sessions, proposal reviews, risk management activities, and all other contractual related matters affecting the portfolio. The successful candidate will work with both internal and external customers to ensure programs' performance, provide guidance, and influence outcomes to achieve desired results. What You Will Do * Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions.
* Implement strategies to improve acquisition timelines and customer pace of contractual actions.
* Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying astute critical thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking creative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
* Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes.
* Review proposals to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements, represent a balanced risk/opportunity posture and deliver a financially sound business case while meeting company policies and standards.
* Some domestic travel will be required to meet with the customer. Qualifications You Must Have * Typically requires a University degree and a minimum 8 years of prior experience, OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience
* Experience with US Government (USG) contracts administration / management including proposals, cost structures, performance requirements, delivery schedules, terms and conditions or other closely related contracts experience
* Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and / or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS) and related government regulations
* The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer * Demonstrated ability to shape results in support of goals, including ability to communicate and guide executive leadership
* Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and develop effective relationships based on respect and trust
* Excellent communication and leadership to establish and maintain effective relationships with complex customers
* Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential
* Cross-functional experience in Finance, Integrated Supply Chain, Business Development, or Program Management

* Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
